2006 Gallardo GT3
Probably one of the best and newest vehicles that have come from Lamborghini would have to be the GallardoGT3. The 500+bhp car was developed for entry in the GT3 category of international sportscar series as either 4-wheel or 2-wheel drive. The smoothness and the durability of the vehicle make it unique and a beauty to look at.
Reiter had already received orders and further considerable interest from private customers before the final product of the vehicle was even complete. The finished product was available in February of 2006. Further technical details on the race car were made available over the next two months. A ‘street’ version of the Gallardo GT3R followed within the next month.
The first derivative of the proposed Gallardo GT3 Race successfully completed a two-day shakedown test in the hands of the newly founded Lambo-Racing customer team. The 4-WD car was developed and built by Reiter Engineering at the customer’s request, in time for them to prepare for the start of the 2006 VLN Nordschleife Championship.
