In 1987 Chrysler owned Lamborghini and together they created the Portofino. They decided that the best place to debut their new creation was at the Frankfurt Auto Show. It was an amazing vehicle for its time, being built upon a lengthened Lamborghini Jalpa framework.

The 2008 Miura Concept is said to be better then the original. It was based on the ‘66 P400 Miura, which is said to be the best looking vehicles that Lamborghini created. The design for this brand new concept was created by Audi/Lamborghini design cheif Walter de Silva. Silva was given inspiration from the original Miura and then decided to add a bit of a modern twist to it.

The Diablo SE was built for GT-championships, which is why it was built with the Jota upgrade kit. Much weight was saved in the design for this vehicle. The side windows were replaced by synthetic glass and only a small portion of them opened by turning a knob inside the door,.

For the year 2007 Lamborghini decided to change up the 2006 Murcielago coupe into the LP640. Like all names the LP640 has a meaning. The “LP” stands for “longitudinale posteriore,” which is Italian for “longitudinal rear” and indicates the position of the vehicle’s massive V12 engine behind the cockpit.

The 1967 Lamborghini Espada S1 has been given quite a bit of attention, but there were many changes that would have to be made first to make the car more practical and pleasant to live with. The first of these changes was moving the engine to the front which enabled the use of Lamborghini’s V12 and transmission from previous front engined cars.

The Lamborghini Murcielago is a 2-door coupe that can seat only two people. The design for the vehicle was based on the traditional Lamborghini design. It is equipped with the V12 engine, the usual Lamborghini transmission with the gearbox placed in front of the engine and the rear differential integrated into the engine unit, permanent four-wheel drive with central viscous coupler.

It is true that the idea design to build the Lamborghini Miura mid-engine supercar came from all over the world and the United Stated, where the Ford GT40 was first designed and built. When the Ford GT40 was first created it was practically unbeatable during it’s entry in the 24 hours Le Mans.

The Lamborghini Jalpa that was designed by Bertone was first introduced to consumers in 1982. It became the successor of the Silhouette, which failed to become popular when only 52 of them were produced between the years of ‘76 and ‘77. The Bertone Jalpa has a 3.5 liter V8 engine and is tranversely mounted. It has the ability to do 0-60mph in just under six seconds because of the OHC’s per cylinder row and the four twin-choke Webers. These also give the car the ability to heft at least 255BHP.

In 1999 Lamborghini decided to upgrade the original Diablo and re-named it the Diablo GT. Some of the changes that were made to the vehicle were made to create and enhance an aggresive style with features that would improve handling and perform top speeds. Lamborghini made a bold claim stating that they were creating the fastest car in the world and decided to make only eighty of them. This of course peaked enthusiasts curiosity and made it more appealing to them.

One of the greatest and more popular of the Lamborghini vehicles would have to be the Gallardo Spyder. The Gallardo Spyder was created two years after the coupe version of the Gallardo was released. It was first presented to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The 2006 Gallardo Spyder is similar to the coupe except that it is an open-top version.
